Do you dream of running a sustainably built, off-the-grid lodge in beautiful Patagonia??  We are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic individual to develop this property to its full potential. This is an opportunity for you to run your own business (whether it be luxury hostal, bed and breakfast, lodge, etc.) using our self-sufficient, five year young facility.

The fully furnished property is located in the Rio Azul Protected Area of Argentina. It sits on 250 hectares, features 14 beds (with the potential for more), an organic farm, open kitchen and ample common space. It is at the trailhead for many hiking trails, adjacent to a beach and swimming hole and has two outdoor hot tubs and a sauna. There is also a plethora of outdoor excursions available in the area.

The ideal person is motivated by challenges, has extensive experience in hospitality management, understands the travel market, is passionate about providing excellent service, speaks Spanish and English, and is willing to commit to an initial three year contract, starting in August 2015.

The property was created by a California based not-for-profit to demonstrate self-sufficiency and sustainable development; the successful candidate will work with the Founders of the organization.

Two recent reviews about the Lodge (edited for grammar):

In the 5 months we traveled we stayed in the poorest hostels, the best lodges and the most luxurious hotels like the hard rock and Hilton in Panama. By far this was the best place! We had a double with shared bathroom, but the shared bathroom was beyond any private we had in any place. There is great eye for detail all around! Even the fresh home grown food. We could hike directly from the lodge, which was great. Don't miss out on the classic wood fired hot tub and sauna! This place is our number 1 pick!

This is a wonderful hotel. We stayed after completing a 3 day trek, staying in refugios, so we were particularly attracted by the comforts at La Confluencia. The situation is beautiful - you feel like you are in a tree house and can always hear the river. The view from the hot tubs is great and the view from the Mirador is even better. From here, you can look across the valley and the mountains. It is the type of view that I would like to tattoo on the inside of my eyelids!

The lodge is lovely with lots of great individual features. I love the wood carving on the way to the shared bathroom. The bathrooms are also excellent. --
